Raíces Creativas was created to celebrate culture, creativity, and community during Hispanic Heritage Month in Central Pennsylvania, but has gone far beyond this goal. From the warm, familiar scent of Café Con Pan to stories passed down over generations, our group brings Latino traditions to life through art and storytelling. With local artists, photographers, and small businesses coming together, we want to grow our multimedia showcase at Source Creative Space into an ongoing, established way for the community to connect in Central PA. Raíces Creativas aims to keep ancient traditions alive while also making space for new young voices to shine.
Raíces Creativas is a collective where Latinx artists and creatives in Central Pennsylvania come together in unity to support, inspire, and uplift one another. As a community-driven network, we believe that creativity thrives when nurtured collectively, and we are committed to providing the resources, tools, mentorship, and workshop days necessary for artists to grow.
Through collaboration and shared knowledge, we aim to break barriers, cultivate opportunities, and ensure that Latinx voices are not only heard but celebrated in the artistic and cultural landscape of our region.
